No. Our shampoo bars have SCS sulfates which are not harmful.

Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) sulfates aren’t harmful. Sodium Coco Sulfate is not the same as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) which is the sulfate that started all the drama. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) can penetrate the skin and cause irritation, not to be confused with SCS. Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) is a mix of all the fatty acids of coconut oil, which means it is gentle on your scalp and will not irritate your skin. It produces excellent lathering, thickening, and conditioning properties and produces that lather we love.

Fun Fact:
Sulfate free was actually designed for kids to be “tear free” because
it’s gentler but as adults it causes buildup and doesn’t cleanse. You
have to add conditioning ingredients to sulfate free to make it feel
like it’s working. Sulfate free just doesn’t clean your hair as well.
