No. Our shampoo bars have SCS sulfates which are not harmful.

Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) sulfates aren’t harmful. Sodium Coco Sulfate is not the same as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) which is the sulfate that started all the drama. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) can penetrate the skin and cause irritation, not to be confused with SCS. Sodium Coco Sulfate (SCS) is a mix of all the fatty acids of coconut oil, which means it is gentle on your scalp and will not irritate your skin. It produces excellent lathering, thickening, and conditioning properties and produces that lather we love.

Fun Fact:
Sulfate free was actually designed for kids to be “tear free” because
it’s gentler but as adults it causes buildup and doesn’t cleanse. You
have to add conditioning ingredients to sulfate free to make it feel
like it’s working. Sulfate free just doesn’t clean your hair as well.

I was alternating between 2 different Etsy shampoo bars, by the next day my scalp would always feel itchy, also i felt like my hair was coated/ a film. So far this bar seems to work better for me. My hair does not feel coated and my scalp feels better. Appreciate the simple ingredients. suds up very easily, I should have gotten the conditioner too ;)

Clean and Honest

Feels good not to be contributing to the demise of the earth with this minimal packaging. Used dandruff shampoo FOREVER. Probably caused more harm than good--but many ways. Tea tree oil and peppermint? YES, PLEASE. It smells so good. Such a fresh scent--and it works great. Shampoo bottles are plastic waste and many of them contain toxic, carcinogenic industrial lubricants. Every time I open a new bar of Loxy, I am a happy dude.

I've tried a few shampoo bars out there (looking to decrease waste, where I can) and this one is the only brand that didn't leave my hair feeling & looking greasy after my shower, I would highly recommend!
